Just got a mail from Google about VAT ID

"To comply with new tax legislation in Taiwan, it is important for you to update your billing profile for your Domain Registration account swaidea.com with your Value Added Tax Identification number (VAT ID). This will ensure that tax charges are applied correctly moving forward."

Q:我知道VAM是統編 ,那VAT呢 ?VAT在美國是聯邦稅則號碼 .在台灣呢?是統編?是稅藉號碼?還是?

A:在台灣,VAT應是指附加值稅(Value Added Tax) 簡單的說,就是營業稅,目前台灣的加值型營業稅稅率為5%.
